Our guest this week knows a lot about how to transmit that Spanish wealth, traditions and authenticity. Carmen Ruiz de Huidobro with her company “Españolita” organizes trips to Spain with which, as she says, experience “experiential luxury.” As the host herself, she accompanies a small group of people on these trips, showing them the places that make her shine and get excited.
Carmen has had a very rich and international exciting life. He already spent half his career abroad, working in Australia in a multinational where he realized that his thing was not to be in an office doing something tedious and uncreative. Since she was little, her great passion was cinema and with perseverance she saw her dream of working in that world in the field of art direction fulfilled. Always in continuous evolution and eager to learn, she studied and worked in New York where she emerged strengthened by the difficulty and harshness of the environment. She met the man who would become her husband, an English assistant director who lived in Los Angeles, and went there without thinking about it.
For a few years now, Carmen has established a break in the world of cinema by embarking on her new company, Españolita. From its beginnings as a Spanish food company, through a website where it publishes interviews with creatives and artisans, Españolita has materialized into what it is today, trips around Spain such as its Mediterranean retreats in Mallorca, culinary-artisanal investments where people stay in idyllic places and acquire a 360º knowledge of the Spanish essence.
