March 2013 / Prado Museum still lifes

One of the reasons why I think this campaign was very meaningful to me is because it was a great time of experimentation. What I felt was that when you are in art school they always ask you to reproduce things, it is one of the most fun and playful parts of studying to be an artist. This was one of the most fun points. This campaign for me was like going back to school, but it was at the same time a project that united many things that I like, still lifes, having to do historical research and discover what we wanted and how to transform this into reality. All this reproduction and research work was a super interesting challenge.

The moment of taking the photos was a brutal team effort, because in Katia's studio, with Adriana, with Raquel, with Mer, with Marian, with a lot of people juggling to be able to create those shadows in a space where There was too much light and we put on a mask to keep the light out.

The result is a campaign that I believe has a level of quality and aesthetics that has nothing to envy of any major fashion brand.

All those opposite things, from starting with a thought that seemed very student-like and having a final product that had top quality, are what challenged us all to get the best out of ourselves and have fun at the same time.

Personally, this speaks a lot about zubi and it speaks a lot about myself, about us, about our lives, how we started experimenting to get to this place and how we got there.
