Ep 29 / Chatting with Javier Aznar ("El Guardian") about telling stories
As you already know, one of the questions in our final questionnaire is “who would you like to hear chatting with Zubi?” In one of the first episodes of the season, Dani, from People Producciones , was very clear: he wanted us to interview Javier Aznar, aka. The Guardian. We loved the idea, and we picked up the gauntlet. The entire Zubi team is a fan of Javier, the way he writes and the stories he tells (very discreetly we received him with a couple of copies of his book, “ Where are we going to dance tonight? ”, on the table, waiting for the dedication). And with him we opened the circle of “guests upon request.”
We had so many things to ask Javier that the podcast fell short. He told us how he started writing and what was the turning point at which literature went from being a hobby to a profession. Also the reason for the pseudonym and what it has meant to leave it behind to write and sign with first and last name. And, above all, we have tried to extract the key to his success: how he connects in a universal way with all of us, and to put such accurate words to magical moments and everyday life.
We have had an episode full of anecdotes (her first photo shoot for Elle is incredible), irony and football similes. And now we know what series and podcasts he is hooked on and why he has a copy of his book dedicated to Cindy Crawford in his house.
We could have chatted with The Guardian for hours but, for now, we are content with having gotten to know a little more about him, and with continuing to read him wherever he goes. Enjoy it!
