Ep 44 / Chatting with Mercedes and Elena Zubi about sustainability and giving things a second life
It's been a long time since we sat down to do a podcast with the Zubi sisters talking. Today we are going to talk to you about sustainability, a topic that matters to us, worries us and that we try to carry as a banner in our small company, in all aspects. In addition to this, it is the main initiative of our next action. A topic that we are passionate about and about which we are increasingly aware.
The first reflection is to know what we do at zubi to be more sustainable. We firmly believe in the circular economy and in taking small actions that, together, do great things. It is not easy to be a sustainable company, but we are doing our part. Some of our contributions are producing in Spain, having exhaustive inventory control – in all areas – and using 100% recycled and recyclable materials, among other things.
At a time when the fashion industry is globally aware of this movement, we can see an important change in consumer habits and communication. Brands seem to have stopped to reflect on how they can help our planet. On the part of consumers, a more conscious purchase that is truly worthwhile is popular. Garments and accessories that you can use in many moments of your life, thus creating a more transversal fashion. A change that we are all called to lead responsibly.
From our tireless search to give things a second life, our next event has emerged, zubi 2nd chance – sample sale -. We have taken out everything in our warehouse of things that were never manufactured, to create special products with different shapes. It has been something really exciting and we are looking forward to sharing it with you.
In addition to this, we have delved into our friends' closets looking for those unique and precious garments that are sometimes forgotten, but that for another can be a real find. We will offer you a careful selection so that you can leave dressed from head to toe for this special sale.
