S6.EP1/ Chatting with Mer and Elena about business and mental health
Almost two years after our last podcast, we return to action to tell you what has happened during this time and how we face a new stage. It has not been easy, I warn you, but we come fresh, relaxed, also trained and with a lot of desire and enthusiasm.
I think the saying “after the storm always comes calm” has never made more sense at ZUBI. I would almost dare to champion it as our slogan after the break, the catharsis, the shake or the rebirth, whatever we want to call it. Because, how beautiful it is when the sun comes out again.
Although it may sound contradictory, all the happiness of having reached the age of 10 brought Elena, ZUBI and me a strange feeling of emptiness, too much overthinking and quite a bit of insecurity. It stirred us up too much. Elena says that, in some way, ZUBI's soul was broken and I say that the project burned us too much.
We had to stop and accept that we were in a completely different moment because ZUBI was no longer a baby and we were not the same as we were ten years ago. And we had to address this natural evolution both on a professional and personal level by activating levers of change that would help us get out of the hole or, literally, from the basement where we had seen our project grow and loved very much. We had to listen to each other again and get to know each other better, ask for help without complexes and remember from humility that learning never ends.
The result has been empowerment, strength, maturity and perspective. We have once again clearly identified what reins each one must take to project in a big way. We are sure of how we want to approach the next ten years and that makes us feel good. Now we work from a studio with natural light that makes each of the women who are part of ZUBI shine, that is wonderful.
With all this energy the podcast makes sense again and we want to talk about all that journey. About business, about new ways of thinking and a lifestyle linked to being an entrepreneur in which mental health and self-care are fundamental. We are going to surround ourselves with experts, disparate professionals within the fashion industry and, of course, friends. And we will share it with you with the intention of always contributing.
Thank you for having waited for us and welcome to a new stage that, we do not fully know what it will be like, but it will be worth it.
