Ep 16 / Chatting with Ana Cubas about adding art to our daily lives
If you have followed us during these last few weeks, there is almost no need for us to introduce you to the protagonist of our first podcast of the season. She is responsible for making the Zurbano 22 store look its best right now. Thus, with such a graphic way of representing the magic of the trip, it has put the cherry on top of September, our month dedicated to art. He also accompanied us at the back to school party (yes, at zubi we celebrate absolutely EVERYTHING) and he also signed our new tote bags .
We already knew many things about Ana Cubas , such as that she makes the most beautiful Christmas cards in the world, for example, or that she has explored various creative disciplines in her professional career to get to where she is today. But with the recording of the podcast we have discovered many others that have surprised and conquered us in equal measure (hello, Excel!).
Ana has chatted with us about the importance of losing the fear of art in order to be able to include it in our daily lives and improve the environment in which we develop, she has explained to us what her Trueque Project consists of (exhibited in La Eriza until the 8th of November, you can't miss it) and what role empathy plays in all of the above. After this talk, we already feel like “Empathic Collectors”, so you know.
Without revealing more, here we leave you the first “Charlando con zubi” of the season, for which we have shaken off prejudices about the world of art and artists and have soaked ourselves in the purest William Morris spirit to defend the presence of art in everyday life. We hope you like it and learn as much as we do.
PS – one day we will have our own podcast recording studio but, in the meantime, we have created the little pop-up lounge you see in the photos. The only downside is that we occasionally get some real-world noise sneaking in, but we're working on it!
