My head, oh... that head that won't shut up, not even when I'm asleep.
Think, evaluate, compare, dramatize.
It can give the same weight to a falling leaf as to a mortgage.
To a misunderstood gesture rather than a great idea.
And in the midst of it all, it continues.
It's not easy to explain what's going on inside.
That whirlwind of ideas, emotions, and doubts that accompanies us all.
But I've stopped trying to stop it.
Now, I'm just listening to it .
I've seen it. I'll leave it alone.
When Mónica suggested I make a mini fashion film, I thought of something more commonplace: a woman walking, drinking coffee, working in front of a computer.
But no.
She—whether she knew it or not—touched something deeper.
A woman and her thoughts. A woman and her day. A woman and her chaos.
A woman, like so many of us.
And of course, that woman has the body of Mayka Merino , with that endearing presence that moves between doubt and determination.
And the voice of Leonor Watling , which roars and caresses in equal measure, with that confidence that makes us tremble... with desire or with fear.
This fashion film doesn't show clothes.
It shows what happens when an item of clothing accompanies a thought.
Because what we wear is also part of what we think.
And if there's one thing I've learned in all these years, it's that I don't want to silence those inner voices.
I want to listen to them more.
Turn up the volume.
And not to be ashamed of them, even if what they say is stupid, brilliant, or contradictory.
Dear all:
Let's enjoy ourselves more.
Let's give each other space.
Let's get stylish.
And let's let our inner voices be heard on the outside, too.
